Exploring life’s challenges with people is something Bobbe is so grateful to be able to experience as a Life Coach. Looking for answers to deep questions and searching for inner peace and understanding has taken her in many directions.
Her love of music and singing began in her childhood where she grew up singing with her family. Writing and recording her songs came later. In her twenties she and her husband owned a natural food store in the Chicago suburbs in the later part of 1970’s. She taught juice fasting clinics and cooking classes, cultivated an organic garden, and gave talks in schools on cutting down on sugars and eating a healthier diet. She moved with her daughter to Seattle after her divorce and continued teaching classes in several Health Food Stores in Seattle/Bellevue area, eventually creating a Natural Foods Catering business.
She married a second time, and later in 1985, moved to Wenatchee, WA for five years and finally sold her catering business, after her second child was born, a son. As she travelled between Seattle and Wenatchee weekly, taking care of her business, the beauty of the mountains inspired her to begin writing her own music. Before she started to think about performing and sharing her music, she was blessed to meet the author/teacher Dr. Wayne Dyer. After the gift of many phone conversations with him, Bobbe found a stronger belief in her ability to reach her goals. She easily created the funding for recording albums and sharing her songs. Much of her performing was around the Northwest, with trips to Detroit and California to sing with Dr. Dyer and several venues in her hometown of Chicago.
Being on the road singing took her away from home on the weekends and meant less time spent with her family. She decided to find a way to share her gifts and be at home. Her family moved back to Carnation, WA in 1990. She continued to sing with children and create music at several Montessori schools in Redmond, Bellevue, and Fall City. She continued her education and became a Certified Montessori Teacher for four to six year olds. Having a classroom at Sammamish Montessori in Redmond for four years helped her see the need for more education for parents. She created a series of Parenting Classes to enhance the children’s success in school and at home.
Bobbe’s curiosity and her life changing second divorce led her to find and attend some of the first workshops of the teacher/author Byron Katie and was inspired to do “the Work”. In 2002 she attended the School for the Work and has been on Staff for the School, also. She started her Life Coaching Practice in 2002 working with individuals, children and families. In her practice with clients she uses The Work, Body Talk, Sound Healing, Storytelling and Guided Meditation.
Her love of music, singing, storytelling and connecting with adults and children continues in her work as an Elder at Wilderness Awareness School in Duvall, WA. For the last fifteen years she has been on their Board of Elders, inspiring the future generations with her compassion, gratitude and love for life.
